Medically Supervised Detox Available as Part of Comprehensive Residential Treatment

Detox + Residential Treatment

Our medically supervised detox is offered as part of our comprehensive residential treatment. Clients detox before entering our residential treatment program.

Drug & alcohol detoxification is an essential first step for some people seeking addiction treatment.

Overcoming addiction is a difficult process, one that often begins with a medically supervised detox program. Lingering toxins from long-term substance abuse can stall the healing process and lead to continued suffering, making it difficult for patients to focus on their recovery. Combined with the effects of poor nutrition that many drug users experience, it’s essential to resolve these issues to clear the way for lasting recovery.

At Foundry Front Range, we do this by providing an individualized, compassionate care plan for each patient in our detox and residential treatment programs. Combined with a well-balanced diet created by our in-house chef and the use of carefully selected supplements, our initial detox program acts as a catalyst for recovery that jumpstarts neurobiological healing to help patients regain their health for the journey ahead.

What is Detox, and why is it important?

Simply put, detox or detoxification is the process of removing substances from the body. People who are ready to start substance use disorder treatment often have high levels of alcohol or drugs in their systems. Suddenly stopping long-term substance use can produce serious withdrawal side effects — some of which can be life-threatening. Stopping alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other substances can cause severe seizures and other physical symptoms. This is why medically supervised detoxification is vital. Specially trained doctors and nurses can safely manage the effects of stopping substance use until these substances are no longer present or causing effects. It is critical to detoxify and establish a sober baseline before engaging in other addiction treatment programming.

Our detox process

Every incoming client receives a full medical evaluation by Foundry Front Range team members before beginning programming. Evaluations include blood work, a thorough physical, and an in-depth assessment to gauge and address initial withdrawal symptoms. All aspects of detoxification take place in one of our comfortable, specialized detoxification rooms.

Clients accessing our detoxification services receive individualized care plans to aggressively manage discomfort, anxiety, or other symptoms that accompany withdrawal. Patients are involved throughout this process and the joint decision-making between patient and provider is key to success. By co-creating a personalized treatment plan rather than using traditional one-sided treatment models, we add an extra level of engagement that empowers patients to take ownership of their recovery so they can get the most out of their time with us.
